Rosen Tears

吃完早飯，馬可一面收拾桌面一面和卡西法聊天

「你覺得霍爾會成功嗎？」馬可問。

陽光透過擦得一點汙漬都沒有的窗戶灑下，為室內染上了溫暖的金黃。一名少女自門外走了進來，手中捧著滿懷五顏六色、尚帶著朝露的鮮花。女孩大約十八、九歲，一頭金紅的長髮在腦後盤成高雅的髻，白晰的雙頰被夏日早晨的熱氣熏起了兩片紅暈。

這時，壁爐中的淡藍的火苗劈劈啪啪地響了起來，一張臉孔浮現了出來，打了個呵欠。

There is this man. I’ve seen him for a few times in our neighborhood. His figure tall and slender, his hair brown and messy. I was eight when I first saw him. I was walking home from school and there he was, in a fitting suit and a long, khaki coat. He was leaning against the iron bars across the street, looking towards the direction of our building but not really at it. “He might be waiting for someone,” I thought. I went inside, put my things away and went to the kitchen to grab some snack. I took my mild and cracker and went out to the hallway, where I could see the sky. I saw him still leaning against the iron bars, staring at our building but not really looking at it. He stood there for a few minutes more and left.

I saw him several times after that afternoon. He was always standing at the same spot and always looked the same, though years had passed.
